After a week of relentless walking and ditch bashing in gale force winds and rain, today was a day of rest. This was mainly due to waking at 9am with a hangover. The previous evening had been spent with a large chunk of the Shetland Birders, the largest chunk was absent, in the
Sumburgh Hotel until around 1am.
A party of Pale-bellied Brent Geese were on the
POV as well as the usual small selection of waders were the only birds seen all day.
Tomorrow we have a plan and a strict
itinerary, we're hitting the north and west of the Mainland - watch this space!!
